Concert in Perm (Концерт в Перме)
Live Akvarium, with the full band. Pretty good (probably soundboard) sound quality. Sasha Titov (presumed to be bass player) is playing a nice-sounding fretless. He gives a good performance, as do all the others. Boris's voice is in good form. Suffers from the same problems all live Akvarium suffers from—lack of immediacy.
First released in 1983.
Review
The tape at Zig-Zag R&R shop (released by "Feel Tapes") has three bonus tracks, not from the concert: "The Gay Janitor," "Don't Stand in the Way of Sublime Feelings," and "I Want to be Loved." The last of the three is a very cool jazz combo piece with clarinet and saxophone. It's worth the price of the tape just for this song.
